2017 (Sr.): Started all 20 matches... Recorded 10 points on three goals and four assists... Scored the game-winner vs. No. 17 Arkansas in the season-opener... Netted goals at Gonzaga and at Memphis... Logged 1,855 minutes... AWARDS: 2017 All-Southeast Region Third Team... 2017 First Team All-AAC.

2016 (Jr.): Started all 22 games... Was the team’s co-leader with 10 goals (72nd NCAA, T7th AAC), third with 20 points (10th AAC) and third with 1,867 minutes… Had six game-winning goals (9th NCAA), including a goal against [RV] Memphis (Nov. 4) in the American Athletic Conference quarterfinals to send SMU to the first conference championship game since 2004… During the AAC tournament, scored the advancing penalty kick attempt against UCF (Nov. 2) to send SMU to the quarterfinals… Played at least 90 minutes in 14 games this season.
 
2015 (So.): Started all 18 games... Scored four goals and tallied one assist... Had two game-winning goals... Headed in the tying goal in a 1-1 draw at Missouri (Aug. 23)... Scored against Texas Southern (Aug. 30), Northwestern State (Sept. 13) and at Temple (Oct. 22)... Oates notched her second career assist in a 1-1 draw at Rice (Sept. 3)... Second on the team in minutes played with 1,631... Was second on the team in shots (30) and shots on goal (11).

2014 (Fr.): Started all 21 games... Her 1,816 minutes played ranked second on the team... Led the Mustangs in goals (6) and points (13)... Scored her first career goal against Missouri (Aug. 31)... Tallied the game-winning goal and an assist against UTSA (Sept. 7)... Recorded a hat trick in the team's 3-2 victory at Houston (Sept. 27)... Scored a goal against Memphis (Oct. 26)... Led the team in shots (34) and shots on goal (16).

Prep: Oates played club soccer for Slammers FC ECNL in Newport Beach, Calif... Served as captain in 2013 and 2014 and helped lead Slammers FC to an ECNL U16 National Championship and club championship in 2012... In 2011, her team won the Region IV Championships and was a finalist for the 2010 Nike Manchester Cup in Portland, Ore... Slammers FC also won the U15 Regional Championship in 2011... Also played high school soccer at Woodrow Wilson Classic High School where she earned numerous honors in 2013, including NSCAA/Adidas All-Region, All-CIF first team, All-Moore League first team, team Offensive MVP and Excalibur All-Tournament team recognition... In 2012, she earned first team All-Moore league honors... Graduated as a four-year distinguished scholar with a 4.24 GPA.
