2002 WAC Freshman of the Year Gwinyai Chingoka will take on former SMU men's tennis great Ignacio Hirigoyen as part of the festivities surrounding the Pete Sampras-Andy Roddick exhibition match Friday, July 19, at Moody Coliseum.

Chingoka, the 2002 WAC Freshman of the Year, ended his successful 2002 campaign with five consecutive wins to finish the season with an overall singles record of 19-11. Hirigoyen, the 1997 WAC Player of the Year, is coming off a successful appearance in the Swedish Open. Hirigoyen finished his college career with 98 wins. His 34 singles victories in 1999 are a single season record at SMU.
