Box Score ARLINGTON, Texas (SMU) — On Tuesday, SMU women's tennis defeated UTA 4-0 at the UTA Tennis Center. Hadley Doyle, Taylor Johnson and Lana Mavor all swept their singles matches.
The Mustangs earned the first point of the match from doubles play, with Johnson and Mavor pairing for the 6-4 set win over UTA's Tara Gorinsek and M. Manyoma-Velasquez.
Freshman Caroline McGinley and partner Drew Morris clinched the doubles point for SMU, winning their match 6-3.
Johnson notched the first win for SMU in singles action with her win over Manyoma-Velasquez — 6-1, 6-2.
Mavor also took down UTA's Francisca Vergara (6-3, 6-3).
In the final match of the day, 2023 AAC Player of the year Hadley Doyle defeated Sarina Reinertsen (6-4, 6-2). This was the Colleyville native's third win of the year.
