Box Score COLLEGE STATION, Texas — SMU Women's Tennis, now ranked No. 39 by the ITA, fell 4-1 in a road loss against No. 21 Texas A&M on Tuesday. The Mustangs claimed the first point of the match with a win in doubles play.
No. 50 Lana Mavor and Taylor Johnson paired to defeat the No. 3 doubles pair in the country, Mary Stoiana and Mia Kupres (6-3) on court one.
Hadley Doyle and Drew Morris also notched a win in doubles play. They two took down Sydney Fitch and Nicole Khirin, 6-1.
The Mustangs battled hard in singles play. Of the six players the Mustangs faced, three were ranked in the top 30 by the ITA. Drew Morris earned two points against No. 1 Mary Stoiana and Taylor Johnson notched three against No. 19 Nicole Khirin.

The Mustangs return to the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex on March 6 to take on Texas A&M Corpus Christi. First serve is set for 1 p.m. for the Wednesday contest.
