RESULTS
 
COLUMBUS, Ohio (SMU) – SMU women's golf finished in eighth at the NCAA Columbus Regional with Emily Odwin finishing in sixth.
 
The Mustangs came into the day sitting in fifth place needing a spot in the top five to advance to the NCAA Championship for the third straight season. They shot 10-over in the final round to finish at 26-over across the three day tournament. They wound up in eighth place, eight shots back of a spot in the top five. The Mustangs finished the season with a scoring average of 291.63, the third best mark in program history.
 
Emily Odwin came within a shot of advancing as an individual to the NCAA Championship. The top individual not on advancing team earns an NCAA Championship bid. She shot two-over on the day to move into a tie for sixth. She was tied with Moa Svedenskiold at the conclusion of her round but Svedenskiold was able to push ahead with Odwin in the clubhouse. Odwin finished the season with a 72.40 scoring average, the sixth best season at SMU.
 
Mackenzie Lee had her best round during the final day. She shot two-under 70, to conclude play at five-over for the tournament. She moved up 13 spots into a tie for 21^st. Lee wrapped up her season with a 70.31 scoring average, one stroke better than her previous record of 70.32. She now owns the top two single seasons by scoring average in SMU history. She also finished with 23 rounds of par or better on the season which ranks tied for third.
 
Amelie Kumar recorded her second best finish of the season with a 29^th place showing at the Regional. She finished at eight over par for the tournament. She shot even par in the first round, her sixth par or better round in her freshman season.  Kumar finished the year with a 75.75 scoring average.
 
Celine Chen finished in 51^st at the Regional. She concluded the season with a 73.54 scoring average which ranks 14^th for a single season at SMU. Chen added 14 rounds of par or better, ranking 11^th at SMU.
 
Jingan (Annie) Huang carded a 79 in the final round to finish at 20-over for the tournament. She finished in 60^th at the Regional. Joining the team after winter break, Huang shot 77.57 on the season.
 
The Mustangs end their season with eight top five finishes and another trip to the NCAA Regional under fourth-year head coach Lauren Mason.
