Patrick Sullivan

    Women's Tennis Assistant Coach
Sullivan comes to SMU from the University of Arkansas, where he served an assistant coach for three years. In his first season, the Razorbacks achieved their first .500 record since the 1990s and broke their 49-match Southeastern Conference losing streak with a win at Auburn. His second season, Sullivan helped guide Arkansas to an NCAA Tournament berth, on the heels of a 5-match conference winning streak, the Razorbacks[apos] longest since 1997. During his tenure at Arkansas, four of Sullivan[apos]s recruits achieved national rankings, including two players in the top 25. In 2007, Sullivan[apos]s final season, the Razorbacks fielded the ITA Central Region[apos]s top-ranked singles player and two of the region[apos]s top-five doubles teams. While working at Arkansas, Sullivan also pursued his J.D. at the University of Arkansas School of Law and worked as a tennis professional at the Fayetteville Athletic Club. Prior to Arkansas, Sullivan worked as a volunteer assistant coach for the men[apos]s tennis team at his alma mater, Texas A&M University. His coaching responsibilities at Texas A&M included working with the strength and conditioning coaches and supervising the team[apos]s summer conditioning program. Under Sullivan, several members of the team broke school records in strength and speed. During his time in College Station, Sullivan was also the head coach of the boys and girls tennis teams at the Brazos Christian School. A native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Sullivan resides in Highland Park with his wife, Caroline, a dietician at the Walker Wellness Clinic.
