SMU Athletics. Checks are only to be accepted as methods of payments for season tickets. We do not accept check payments for any single-game or mini-plan ticket purchases.
TICKET BROKER POLICY
SMU Athletics encourages ticket holders to resell or transfer individual game tickets using our secondary sales partner, SeatGeek, if they are unable to attend an event. However, the University reserves the right to revoke tickets for any reason, at the University’s discretion. The SMU Athletic department will monitor ticket sales, transfers and use and will withhold ticket opportunities and cancel ticket orders from any account that demonstrates the actions consistent with a ticket broker. Ticket brokers are defined as ticket account holders who purchase tickets with the primary intent of reselling their tickets on the secondary market.
Likewise, the University and The Mustang Club reserve the right to withhold or alter Mustang Club membership level benefits for any account that it deems in its sole discretion, is functioning as a ticket broker.
RESELLER'S OBLIGATIONS
Once tickets have been sold online, it is the original ticket holder’s responsibility to destroy the original tickets. Any ticket holder attempting to use the sold and/or cancelled tickets for admittance to the game after the tickets have been deactivated, will not be granted access and any such use may result in all original ticket holder's privileges to purchase tickets being revoked.
REFUND POLICY
SMU Athletics has a no-refund policy. All sales are final. Before purchasing, please confirm that you are purchasing the correct ticket, event, and date. No exchanges or refunds are allowed after your ticket purchase. This includes tickets that have been lost, misplaced, stolen, or forgotten.
RIGHTS TO CHANGE OR CANCEL
SMU reserves the right to cancel all or any part of an order and refund accordingly. Cashing checks and processing orders is not necessarily a guarantee that orders will be filled. SMU also reserves the right to reassign or refuse to renew tickets without prior notice, at the discretion of the University. Tickets for which payment has not been received by the date specified on renewal invoice are subject to cancellation.
TICKET LIMITS
We reserve the right to refund any order in the event of over-subscription or excessive quantities. Multiple accounts may not be used to circumvent or exceed the published ticket limits. Tickets canceled due to violating the posted ticket limit will be refunded at face value, minus all fees.
AUTHORIZED PURCHASES
Tickets not purchased through the SMU Ticket Office, SeatGeek or the University’s authorized agents are not considered valid, and the holder may be denied admission or ejected from the venue. SeatGeek is the only authorized resale site.
Tickets cannot be used for third-party contests or sweepstakes without approval by the SMU Athletics Department. Attempting to sell or solicit the sale of a ticket on campus without a permit violates University policy.
TAX INFORMATION
Under the 2017 Tax Act, all donations that directly or indirectly provide the right to seating at an athletic event are not deductible for tax purposes.
