Michele Hain Pappas – Women's Swimming & Diving 1978-81

Michele Hain Pappas was a seven-time All-American diver from 1978-81. In 1979, she won the 3-meter at the U.S. Diving Championships and the Swedish Cup World Championships, and then competed at the 1980 U.S. Olympic Trials. Her seven All-America honors included the 3-meter all four years and three 1-meter awards. After her SMU career, she coached the club Mustangs in the Sun for 33 years and also served as a volunteer assistant with SMU from 2002-05.

"I was blessed to have a wonderful career at SMU. Between the All-American honors, competing for championships, diving at the 1980 Olympic Trials, I didn't believe I had anything else to prove. I was living out my dream, and I loved every second of it."
