HOUSTON, Texas (SMU) - The SMU volleyball team fell to the Houston Cougars on Friday 3-0 (30-27, 30-20, 31-29) at Hofheinz Pavilion in Houston, Texas. Freshman Natalie Peters had another solid game for the Mustangs (6-10, 2-2 C-USA) recording 16 kills and three blocks in the loss.
Rachel Giubilato also was strong for SMU, notching nine kills and 22 digs. Caitlin Rainbird totaled eight kills and nine digs, while Kelly Larkan tallied six kills, seven digs and two service aces. Both setters saw action in the loss with Stefanie Kons leading in assists with 22 and Madison Hill adding 16. Libero Jennette Evanco chipped in with 19 digs.
The SMU volleyball team closes out their Houston road trip tomorrow evening at 7 p.m. when they clash with Rice at Autry Court.
