Dallas (SMU)-SMU volleyball (6-4) placed third by tie-break in the Magnolia Invitational after falling in four sets (25-17, 13-25, 20-25, 23-25) to the Ole Miss Rebels (4-5) in Oxford, Mississippi at the Gillom Sports Complex on Saturday, September 13.

A trio of Mustangs recorded nine kills but All-Tournament junior middle blocker Kendra Kahanek led the offense with a .300 hitting percentage. Defensively, Kahanek led in blocks with 3.5 and freshman Libero Sidney Stewart registered 15 digs. Freshman Jessica Oliver put forth a solid all-around effort recording seven kills and two blocks.

SMU volleyball will start conference play this Tuesday, September 16, against Tulsa (6-1) at 7 p.m. in Moody Coliseum.
