SAN DIEGO - Former Mustang great Louie Kelcher has been named to the San Diego Union-Tribune's San Diego Chargers' 50th Anniversary Team, the news organization this week. Kelcher, who is enshrined in the Chargers Hall of Fame, notched 577 tackles and 39 sacks in nine seasons with the Chargers. Kelcher was also a three-time All-Pro and Pro Bowl selection in San Diego and won a Super Bowl ring with the San Francisco 49ers in 1985.

On the Hilltop, Kelcher earned first-team All-SWC honors twice and still holds the school record for tackles-for-a-loss in a season (22) and is still recognized as one of the greatest players in school history.
