Texas A&M-SMU Results 
DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU Equestrian team turned one of its best performances of the season Friday, defeating Texas A&M 9-3, at BuckBranch Farm in Wilmer.
The Mustangs were helped out by a dominating start that saw them get up 6-0 on Texas A&M after the Equitation over Fences. Emily Gardner earned MVP honors in her first action of the spring season, defeating Brooke Coleman of TAMU, 85-81. Jordyn Pettersen was able to keep her strong showings going, defeating Lia Chafee 79-65. Overall in the fences, SMU outscored the Aggies by a margin of 437-322.
SMU split the Equitation on the Flat with A&M, 3-3. Danielle Gersh had the high score for the Mustangs in the event, defeating Brittany Dodson 74-72. Kristen Collins finished the day 2-0 defeating Kristin Bell 70-60, after beating Lindsay Smith 69-30 in the fences. Maia Van Dyke got the last point for SMU, beating Aggie rider Maggie Earle 70-68.
The Mustangs will return to action on Saturday, Feb. 13 in Wilmer when they take on South Carolina. Game time is slated for 10 a.m.
