Box Score | Season Stats DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU women's basketball team fell 90-37 in Moody Coliseum Saturday as three-time defending national champion and No. 1-ranked Connecticut picked up its 18th victory of the season and 55th consecutive win, dating back to last season.
The Mustangs (8-10, 3-4 American Athletic Conference) had two players in double figures, with McKenzie Adams leading the team with 13 points, scoring at least 10 for the 11th straight game. Alicia Froling finished with 12 points and seven rebounds, a team high.
The Huskies (18-0, 8-0 The American) were led by Moriah Jefferson, who led all scorers with 19 points. Breanna Stewart had 15 points and a game-high 12 rebounds. She also had nine blocks and seven assists.
SMU plays at Cincinnati Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT. The Bearcats are 6-12 overall, 2-5 in The American. After the road game, SMU plays three of the next four games at home, including a second game in three days against a top-25 team, hosting No. 16 USF Sunday, Jan. 31.
