DALLAS (AP) -- Riley Ferguson went 20-of-27 for 287 yards and four touchdowns and Memphis beat SMU 51-7 on Saturday.
Memphis gained 257 total yards in the first half and led 38-7. Ferguson had TD passes of 50, 4, 20 and 21 yards before halftime and Darrell Henderson returned a kickoff 99-yards for a touchdown.
Doroland Dorceus carried it 14 times for 77 yards -- with a long of 55 -- and one touchdown for Memphis (6-3, 3-2 American Athletic Conference). Anthony Miller had his fifth 100-yard receiving game of the year with 102 yards. He's also scored two touchdowns for the second-consecutive game.
Memphis forced three turnovers and now has forced 23 on the season.
Ke'Mon Freeman gained 83 yards on the ground for SMU (4-5, 2-3), which had its two-game winning streak snapped. Ben Hicks was 17-of-31 for 170 yards and one touchdown.
SMU is back in action next Saturday, Nov. 12 when the Mustangs travel to Greenville, N.C. to face East Carolina. Kickoff is set for 11:00 a.m. CT and the game will be televised on ESPNU.
