DALLAS (SMU) – SMU won all four of its matches in doubles play, while also picking up two victories in singles play Sunday to close out play on the final day of the Red and Blue Challenge.
The day started with doubles play with
Liza Buss and
Dasha Sharapova, who posted a 7-5 victory against Tulsa's Ksenia Laskutova and Martina Okalova, while
Ana Perez-Lopez and
Ellie Zogg took down Anna Dollar and Evangeline Crist of Liberty, 6-2.
Sarai Monarrez Yesaki and
Macie Elliott got back in the win column with a 6-4 victory against Rebekah Anderson and Aleksandra Panchenko of Liberty.
Sara Jamal and
Mary Wright posted a 7-5 victory against Wyoming's Ana Tkachenko and Miranda Talbert.
In singles play the Mustangs picked up two victories from
Macie Elliott and
Mary Wright. Elliott picked up her second win of the weekend with a 6-1, 6-3 win against Julia Norlin of Loyola Marymount, while Wright recorded a 6-1, 7-5 decision against Liberty's Emily Groeneveld.
