FORT WORTH, Texas (SMU) – Redshirt sophomore
Vanessa Valadez led the Mustangs with five shots and three on goal, but the effort fell short as the SMU women's soccer team fell 1-0 in double overtime at [RV] TCU Sunday night.
In a virtually level match between two even teams, TCU's Allison Ganter found the game-winner in the 109th minute to claim the victory. Each team logged six shots on goal, while TCU managed just two more shots (19-17) overall.

SMU opens conference play Thursday, squaring off at No. 17 USF, before heading to Orlando, Fla., to take on UCF on Sunday. Game times are slated for 6 p.m. ET/5 CT and 12 p.m.
