DALLAS (SMU) – A second-half goal from USF was the difference as SMU fell, 1-0, in a tough contest on Sunday afternoon at Westcott Field.
The Mustangs (7-3-1, 0-2-0) and the Bulls (8-3-0, 3-1-0) battled it out for the first 45 minutes of play, but couldn't put any goals on the board. USF outshot SMU eight to four before the break.
USF found their chance to take the lead in the 53
rd minute when Katie Kitching passed the ball forward to Evelyne Viens, who took a shot from the top of the box. The ball snuck just past SMU's
