SMU plays at Georgia on Friday. It is the third of four non-conference road games for the Mustangs. SMU won the first two away from home, 59-57 at [rv/rv] Evansville on Nov. 18 and 72-68 at UNLV on Nov. 23. The Mustangs are 8-1 on the season, starting 8-0 before falling 91-74 to Georgetown on Dec. 7.
 
SMU is 45-11 in regular-season non-conference games under Tim Jankovich. The Mustangs are 37-4 at Moody Coliseum in those games, 3-4 in neutral-site games and 5-3 in true road games.
 
QUICK HITS:
• SMU won the Southwestern Showdown presented by Engage Telehealth. SMU went 4-0, winning at UNLV (72-68) and at home versus Jackson State (80-63), Hartford (90-58) and Abilene Christian (70-51). Kendric Davis was selected MVP with Tyson Jolly and Feron Hunt named to the all-tournament team.
• SMU does not have any seniors this season.
• SMU was among those receiving votes in the AP Poll on Dec. 2. The Mustangs have been in the AP Poll in six of the past seven seasons.
• SMU Football went 10-2 in the regular season, and is one of 21 FBS teams with at least 10 wins. SMU Men's Basketball started 8-0, and was one of the final 14 remaining undefeated teams. SMU and Ohio State are the only FBS programs with at least 10 wins in football and at least an 8-0 start in men's basketball.
• The Mustangs have had three different players on the AAC Weekly Honor Roll; Tyson Jolly (Nov. 11), Isiaha Mike (Nov. 18), Feron Hunt (Nov. 25).
• SMU is 2-0 on the road with a 59-57 win at Evansville on Nov. 18 and 72-68 victory at UNLV on Nov. 23.

The Mustangs have had at least four score in double figures 5 times this season, including the past 4 games.
• Tyson Jolly is averaging 14.6 points (10th AAC) and 6.6 rebounds (14th AAC) while shooting 54.2% overall (9th AAC). He had a team-high 7 assists at UNLV and is now averaging 2.9. Has has 15+ points in 7 of 9 games. He was the first Mustang with 20+ points in each of the first two games since Shake Milton in 2017. 
• Feron Hunt is averaging 13.7 points (13th AAC) and 7.9 rebounds (7th AAC) while shooting 54.9% (6th AAC). He is 7th in the league lead with 2.7 offensive rebounds per game. He has 9 or more rebounds in 5 of 9 games this season and has three double-doubles. As a freshman, he averaged 7.6 points and 6.2 rebounds (T-1st SMU, 9th AAC). He had had at least 7 rebounds in 19 games. He also had 28 blocked shots and 25 steals in 32 games. He shot 55.4% FG as a freshman last season (4th AAC).
• Isiaha Mike is averaging 15.3 points (3rd AAC) and 7.0 rebounds (T-11th AAC) after averaging 11.7 points and 5.4 rebounds last season. He has also made a jump in FG% (54.8, 7th AAC, from 45.3), 3FG% (48.6, 1st AAC, from 36.8) and FT% (90.3, 1st AAC, from 76.3). He has scored in double figures every game this season.
.• Feron Hunt, Isiaha Mike and Tyson Jolly are all in the top 20 in the AAC in scoring and rebounding. SMU is the only team with three in the top 20 of both. Only Connecticut also has multiple players in the top 20 of both (Josh Carlton, Christian Vital). All three of the Mustangs are also in the top 10 in the league for FG%.
.• Kendric Davis is averaging team highs of 16.0 points and 7.0 assists with 4.2 rebounds and 1.4 steals while hitting 49.1% FGs. He is 18-18 on FTs. [Have to play in 75% of games to appear in AAC rankings.]
.• Sophomore Everett Ray is averaging 3.2 points and 3.2 rebounds in 13.2 minutes per game. Ray missed last season recovering from a foot injury.
.• Sophomore CJ White has 21 assists (2.3 per game) and 41 points (4.6) in nine games. Last season, he had 18 assists and 44 points in 24 games.
.• Four Mustangs have recorded double-doubles this season. Feron Hunt has three while Isiaha Mike, Tyson Jolly and Kendric Davis each have one.
• SMU is 79-39 under Tim Jankovich and 54-14 at Moody Coliseum
• SMU is 45-11 in regular-season non-conference games under Tim Jankovich, 37-4 at Moody Coliseum.
• SMU is 57-33 in AAC play since start of 2014-15 (3rd-best in the league). The Mustangs are 33-12 at Moody Coliseum.
• The win at [rv/rv] Evansville was the 10th victory under Tim Jankovich over a team ranked or receiving votes. It was the first since the 83-78 victory at [7/4] Wichita State on Jan. 17, 2018.
• SMU has 5 wins against AP Top 25 teams under Tim Jankovich (15 games). That is tied for second at SMU. Doc Hayes had 13 from 1947-67.
•  SMU has won two American Athletic Conference Championships (2015 & 2017).

FINDING THE RANGE: Isiaha Mike is leading The American in 3-point percentage (48.6%, 18-37) and free-throw percentage (90.3%, 28-31). His 2.0 threes made per game are seventh in the AAC. He is now 39.3% from three in his time at SMU, which ranks 11th in program history.
 
HUNTING FOR REBOUNDS: Feron Hunt is averaging 7.9 rebounds (7th AAC). He had a season-high 13 rebounds vs New Orleans. He has 7 or more rebounds in 24 of 41 games in his career, including 5 of 9 this season (10+ 4 times this season). Hunt shared the team lead in rebounding at 6.4 per game as a freshman last season. He was just the sixth Mustang to lead the team as a freshman.
 
LAST GAME (L, 91-74 vs Georgetown on Dec. 7): DALLAS (AP) -- Jahvon Blair matched his career high with 21 points as Georgetown defeated SMU 91-74 on Saturday night. Mac McClung had 19 points and seven assists for Georgetown (6-3). Omer Yurtseven added 19 points and Jamorko Pickett had 11 for the visitors. Kendric Davis had 17 points for the Mustangs (8-1), whose eight-game season-opening winning streak ended. Feron Hunt added 17 points. Tyson Jolly had 16 points and six rebounds.

TROPHY CASE: Since the start of the 2013-14 season, the Mustangs have added seven items to the trophy case. SMU won the 2014-15 and 2016-17 American Athletic Conference regular season and tournament titles. SMU has also won 2019-20 Southwestern Showdown and the 2015-16 Las Vegas Classic. In 2013-14, SMU was the runner-up in the NIT.
 
HEAD COACH TIM JANKOVICH... is in his fourth  season at the helm at SMU after four seasons as the associate head coach. He is in his 37th season as a collegiate coach, and his 15th as a head coach. As a head coach, he is 236-160 (.596) [79-39 at SMU (.669), including 54-14 at Moody Coliseum (started 36-0, second best in NCAA history)]. That includes a 104-64 mark at ISU where his teams recorded four top-three finishes in the Missouri Valley, reached the conference tournament final three times and earned four NIT bids. As an assistant or head coach, his teams are 628-375 (.626) with six regular season conference championships, four league tournament titles, nine NCAA Tournament appearances and eight NIT bids. This is his 12th season as the leader of a Division I program, including five as head coach at Illinois State (2007-12) and four at North Texas (1993-97). The 2017-18 Mustangs started 13-6 with three wins over ranked opponents, topping No. 2 Arizona in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament, No. 14 USC at Moody Coliseum and No. 7 Wichita State on the road. In 2016-17, SMU finished 30-5 and No. 11 in the AP poll after winning The American regular season and tournament titles en route to the NCAA Tournament. In 2015-16, he coached the Mustangs to a 9-0 start as SMU was eventually the last unbeaten team in the country at 18-0, and winning the Las Vegas Classic title during the season-opening streak. The Mustangs went 25-5, finishing the season ranked No. 24 after reaching a high of No. 8. In 2014-15, the Mustangs claimed the AAC regular season and tournament championships en route to the NCAA Tournament. SMU was the top seed in the 2014 NIT, reaching the title game.

Set six school records including 3FG in a game (9), season (98), and career (251) as well as free throw percentage in a season (88%) and career (82%)...
