DALLAS (SMU) – SMU and Arizona State will play a home-and-home series during the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons. The first game is at ASU's Desert Financial Arena on Nov. 13, 2020 with a return game to Moody Coliseum in 2021-22.

SMU is coming off a shortened 19-win season that had three All-AAC performers in Kendric DavisTyson Jolly and Isiaha Mike. Davis was also on the NABC All-District Second Team. SMU led the AAC in scoring (72.9), field goal percentage (45.1%), free-throw percentage (76.2%, 25th NCAA), assists (15.6, 19th NCAA) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.2).

In addition to Arizona State, SMU has scheduled a challenging non-conference slate that also includes Dayton, UNLV, Georgia, Vanderbilt and Evansville.

"We are excited to announce a home-and-home series with Arizona State," said Head Coach Tim Jankovich. "The Sun Devils will be a preseason top-25 team and will help us prepare for the always-challenging AAC season."

This season will be the seventh matchup with a Pac-12 team since the start of the 2015-16 season. The Mustangs are 4-2 in those contests against Stanford (2-0), Arizona (1-0) and USC (1-2).
