(DALLAS) - SMU women's tennis won both ends of a Friday doubleheader, 7-0, against McNeese at the SMU Tennis Complex.

 The Mustangs improved to 4-1 on the season with the sweep of the Cowgirls. The day began with the morning match at 9 a.m. and a dominant Mustang doubles performance. The Mustangs didn't drop a game, winning 6-0 on courts two and three and finishing up 5-0 on the top court.

In singles,
Jackie Nylander cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win on court one in her only match of the day while
Claudia Bartolome won, 6-3, 6-1 on court two in her lone match.

Katherine Jakeway and
Winslow Huth won in straight sets on courts four and five while freshman
Kiana Graham was a 6-1, 6-1 winner on court four.
Chandler Carter won a 3rd-set super tiebreaker to complete the 7-0 win.

In match two, Mustangs won doubles with wins on lines two and three just as they did in match one.

In singles,
Hadley Doyle, playing line one for the first time, didn't drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win. Huth won a pair of 6-1 sets on line six.
Nicole Petchey took her match, 6-1, 6-3 on court three and one court down, Jakeway captured a 6-0, 6-2 win.

Graham came back from a lost first set to win, 5-7, 6-3, 1-0 and Carter won her second match of the day, 6-4, 6-2. The Mustangs have het to drop a point at home this season behind four 7-0 victories.

Next up, the Mustangs head to Fayetteville, Ark. to take on Arkansas. The match is slated for Sunday, Jan. 24 at noon.
