Mouhamadou Cisse and Alex Anamekwe have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Mustangs beginning with the 2022-23 season, SMU Head Coach

Mouhamadou "Momo" Cisse is a center at Putnam Science Academy in Putnam, Connecticut. He averaged nine rebounds, eight points and six blocked shots as a junior. He chose SMU over offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Georgia, Texas Tech, Nevada and others.

Alex Anamekwe is a 6-6 forward for coach Wes Watson at McKinney High School. Anamekwe was the District Freshman of the Year in his debut and then Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore and junior. As a junior, he averaged nine points, seven rebounds, three blocks and two steals. He plays AAU for Trae Young 2022. He chose SMU over offers from Alabama, Texas Tech, Tulsa and others.
