DALLAS (SMU) - The Mustangs used a 13-0 run during the final six minutes to rally for a 74-67 victory against UL at Moody Coliseum on Sunday. 

Trailing 60-50 with just under six minutes to play, Emmanuel Bandoumel hit consecutive threes on assists from Kendric Davis to spark the run. Davis then hit a pair of free throws and a 3-pointer to give SMU the 61-60 edge with 3:15 to play. Bandoumel finished the run with a put-back layup after an offensive rebound with 2:47 to play and a 63-60 SMU lead. 

The Mustangs had 11 steals, with Zhuric Phelps recording five. He had all of them in the second half a the SMU defense fueled the comeback. 

Bandoumel finished with a career-high 21 points and Davis had a game-high 26 points. Koreen Ozier led ULM with 15 points.

The Mustangs host UNLV on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

DALLAS (AP) — Kendric Davis scored 26 points as SMU defeated Louisiana-Monroe 74-67 on Sunday. Emmanuel Bandoumel added 21 points for the Mustangs.

Zhuric Phelps had five steals for SMU (5-3), which earned its fifth straight home victory.

Koreem Ozier had 15 points for the Warhawks (2-4). Andre Jones added 13 points. Thomas Howell had 13 points, eight rebounds and five assists.
