SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Current SMU men's golfer Mac Meissner heads to San Antonio to compete in the PGA Tour's Valero Texas Open as an amateur. Three former players, Harry Higgs, Sam Fidone and Kelly Kraft, join Meissner in the field.
 
Meissner is making his debut in a PGA Tour event, and is the third member of the current team to play in a PGA Tour event, joining Noah Goodwin and Ollie Osborne. Osborne will compete in the Masters Tournament next week.
 
Higgs and Kraft are full members of the PGA Tour, while Fidone played his way in by shooting a 66 in Monday qualifying. Higgs is coming off back-to-back top-30 finishes on tour.
 
The tournament, hosted at TPC San Antonio's AT&T Oaks Course runs April 1-4. Television coverage is on Golf Channel and NBC.
