DALLAS - The Mustangs were victorious 3-1 (25-21, 29-27, 18-25, 25-17) on Friday afternoon against Tulane. SMU (6-4, 2-4 AAC) was led by another double-double by
Jadyn Bauss who finished with 14 kills and 13 digs. Bauss also had a career-high three assists and three block assists.
Kaylyn Winkler matched her career-high with seven total blocks.
BreyAnn Sands matched her career-high with one service ace against the Green Wave (5-8, 3-3 AAC). SMU was tough at the net and notched a season-best 14 total blocks.

In a tightly contested first set, the Mustangs and Green Wave were tied at 20. The Mustangs finished strong with a 5-1 run to take the first set of the match. Winkler found the floor twice with her swings for the final two points of the set. Tulane came back with a 10-2 advantage in the second set and looked to run away with the set. The Green Wave held the lead all the way until the Mustangs muscled back to tie the set at 23. Eventually the two teams were tied at 27. Two attack errors by the Green Wave pushed SMU to the 2-0 match lead after overcoming an 8-0 deficit.
After falling in the third set, the Mustangs responded with an 8-1 run in the fourth set to help SMU gain a 21-13 lead.
Alex Glover was involved in four consecutive points on that series with two kills and two block assists. SMU took this momentum and held on for the victory.

SMU will host Tulsa on Friday, March 12 at 6 p.m. The two teams will rematch on Saturday, March 13 at 2 p.m. Both games will be broadcast on ESPN+.
