DALLAS, Texas (SMU) – SMU tallied its seventh straight win with a 64-46 victory over North Texas at Moody Coliseum Wednesday. The Mustangs are 8-2 on the season and have the program's longest winning streak since 2013-14.

Holding a 28-24 halftime advantage, SMU outscored the Mean Green 25-10 in the third quarter and carrying a 19-point cushion into the final period. The Mustangs knocked down 11 of 20 from the field during the quarter, including 3 of 5 from beyond the arc. They allowed just four field goals by North Texas, including 0 for 5 from long range.

In the opening 20 minutes, the Mean Green tallied the first four points, but SMU netted 18 of the final 25, including the last seven to lead 18-11 after one quarter.
Stagnation befell both offenses in the second quarter, with each side mired in long scoring droughts.

Ella Brow's layup increased the gap to eight at 28-16, with 6:22 remaining before intermission. The Mustangs failed to score the rest of the way and saw their margin trimmed to seven with 4:22 remaining.

A triple at the 46 second mark ended a stretch of three and a half scoreless minutes by North Texas and getting the guest within two possessions, 28-24 at the half.

Honored in a pregame ceremony for reaching the 1,000-point plateau, the Cypress, Texas, native facilitated the offense and set a school record with 12 assists.
