"Tremendous match today. The boys have been so focused last few days since coming back from California working on details in their game," said head coach Grant Chen. "We talked about enjoying the moment and competing together and they did that. Tulsa is a fighting team, and it was a high-level conference match. We look forward to a special match of the month on Thursday."

The Golden Hurricane and the Mustangs were locked in tight doubles matches on all three courts.

The debut pairing of Kyle Sillman and Antonio Muniz-Hidalgo downed Stefan Hampe and Ezequiel Santalla first after alternating the first 10 games. Sillman and Muniz-Hidalgo found a break at the right time to get the first win of the day at 7-5 on Court 3.
