DALLAS (SMU) – SMU Football made its 2024 debut in both major Top 25 polls on Sunday.
 
SMU came in at 25th in both the US LBM Coaches and Associated Press Top 25 polls.  
 
The Mustangs are coming off a 34-27 road win at then-No. 22 Louisville on Saturday. The victory gave SMU its third straight win and first-ever road win as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).
 
Kevin Jennings led the way for the Mustangs, finishing with career highs in passing (281) and rushing yards (113). The Oak Cliff native became the first SMU quarterback to record at least 200 yards passing and 100 rushing in a game since Matt Davis in 2014.

The Mustangs will have a bye the upcoming week before traveling to Stanford on Oct. 19.
