LOUISVILLE, Ky. (SMU) – Mustangs' running back
Brashard Smith has been named to the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll, the Louisville Sports Commission announced on Tuesday.
The Hornung Award Honor Roll honors players who had outstanding performances in a given week. The award, presented by Texas Roadhouse, is given annually to the most versatile player in major college football, and fans can vote for Smith on the
Louisville Sports Commission's website for the annual award.
During the Mustangs' victory over TCU, Smith racked up three touchdowns and 127 yards on the ground, along with two receptions for 27 yards and a touchdown.
The running back has put together an impressive stat line through four games this season and ranks eighth in the nation in total touchdowns with seven along with accumulating 380 yards on the ground. His 144.25 all-purpose yards per game also ranks 14th in the nation.
