DALLAS (SMU) - Casey Batenhorst and Jadyn Livings of SMU volleyball were named Academic All-District, announced Tuesday by College Sports Communicators (CSC). Batenhorst and Livings were recognized by the organization for the first time in their careers.
To be eligible for recognition, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and have a 3.50 grade point average or above. Athletically, nominees must have competed in 90 percent or started in at least 66 percent of the team's matches.
The Academic All-District Women's Volleyball Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
