FORT WORTH, TEXAS (SMU) – SMU Men's Tennis fell 4-0 to No. 2 TCU at Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center in Fort Worth, Texas, on Wednesday.
 
SMU dropped the day's first point as TCU won two doubles matches to take the early lead. The hosts then won three straight singles matches to clinch the match.
 
How it Went
No. 70-ranked doubles pair Jack Pinnington and Cooper Woestendick defeated No. 68 Georgi Georgiev and Ofek Shimanov (6-2) to take the Frogs' first win of the day. Lui Maxted and Filip Apltauer won over Vikas Deo and Xavier Calvelo (6-3) to win the doubles point.
 
No. 26 Maxted extended the lead to 2-0 for TCU by defeating Shimanov on court two (6-2, 6-1).
 
Cloud fell to Roger Pascual on court six (6-3, 6-2) as TCU made it a 3-0 scoreline. No. 88 Woestendick defeated Barton on court three (7-5, 6-4) and clinched the match for the hosts.
