Senior women's golfer
Mackenzie Lee was named to the 2025-26 Golfweek Preseason All-American team.
Â
Lee is as one of just 10 golfers selected to the second team. She adds the accolade to an honorable mention All-American honor she earned for her play last season. Lee is the SMU record holder in career scoring, single season scoring, birdies and rounds of par or better. The North Little Rock, Arkansas native finished in the top three five times during the previous season. Lee was recently named to the ANNIKA Award Watch List given to the best collegiate women's golfer.
Â
This summer Lee won the prestigious North & South Amateur, outlasting 120 of the best amateur golfers in the country. She won five rounds of match play pairings to earn the title. She earned bids to the US Women's Amateur and the Augusta National Women's Amateur. At the US Am, Lee made the match play portion of the tournament.
Lee and the Mustangs make the trip to Japan to begin their fall 2025 season. The Pan Pacific Super League tees off September 3 and concludes September 5.
