KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (SMU) – SMU women's divers will take on their first diving-only meet of the season at the Tennessee Diving Invite, Wednesday through Friday.
The Mustangs will take on five ranked opponents in Knoxville, Tennessee. They will compete against No. 16/17 Alabama, No. 8/10 Florida, No. 7/7 NC State, No. 5/6 Tennessee and No. 12/RV LSU.
The last time SMU competed at the annual Tennessee Invite was in the 2023-24 season.
Jaclynn Fowler placed sixth on 1-meter with a score of 282.80.

SMU placed fourth at the SMU Invite on Nov. 19-22.
Maddy Parker rewrote a 10-year-old 50 free school record with a time of 22.10 on day three of the meet.
The Mustang swimmers recorded three program top-10 performances on top of renewing a school record.
ACC Weekly Awards Sweep
Macey Oppliger and
Summer Osborne were named Atlantic Coast Conference Performers of the Week as announced by the conference on the second week of the season.
The Mustangs swept the ACC weekly honors following their quad meet sweep against UNT, UIW and Oklahoma Christian on their season opener.
Oppliger earned her first ACC honors after her first collegiate meet against UNT, UIW and Oklahoma Christian where she won the 3-meter while earning an NCAA Zone Cut with a score of 300.15.
Osborne won the 100 free, 200 free and anchored SMU's winning 400 free relay in Friday's quad meet against UNT, UIW and Oklahoma Christian.
These awards are the program's first ACC weekly honors.
Returning To The Hilltop
SMU returned 10 Mustangs from their first season in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The 10 returners include NCAA Championships performer
Maddy Parker and 2024 two-time American Athletic Conference champion,
Jimena Leal.
Parker placed 26th in the 100 free at the NCAA Championships. She swam the second-fastest time in SMU history in the 100 free (48.09), the third fastest 50 free time in program history (22.26) and fifth fastest 200 free in history (1:45.69) last season.
Leal achieved NCAA B Standards in the 200 back and 100 back last season. In 2024, Leal won the 200 back and 400 medley relay while finishing second in the 100 back in the AAC Championships in 2024.
On the diving side,
Reagan Evans return after placing 53rd on 3-meter (234.20) at the NCAA Zone Diving Championships. She placed 14th on 3-meter at the ACC Championships.
