Miriam Ibezim finished with seven.
Zahra King and
Ayanna Thompson each had six points as well. SMU shot 23% from the field while Duke ended the game at 52%. After jumping out to the early lead, Duke closed the quarter on a 19-4 run and led 24-6 heading into the second. King had three points in the period.
Miriam sparked the SMU offense in the second with back-to-back buckets, but Duke was able to answer everything the Mustangs found the bottom of the net. Hall added four points as well in the quarter, but Duke continued to increase its lead over the Mustangs.
Hall totaled six points in the first half while Ibezim added five. The Blue Devils shot 55% in the first half and led by 30 at the break.

The Blue Devils went on another 9-0 run halfway through the quarter and extended their lead once again. King added three more points in the quarter as Duke's offense proved too much for SMU to handle, outscoring SMU 30-10 in the period.
The Mustangs showed no lack of effort, still competing hard in the fourth as Thompson hit a three to start the quarter. The team continued to fight until the final whistle and the game reached its final score.
