COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (USAVB/SMU) - Rising junior Favor Anyanwu and rising sophomore Suli Davis have been selected as two of 27 elite athletes on the 2026 U.S. Women's U21 National Team roster, it was announced by USA Volleyball on Monday.
The group will train for two major NORCECA age-group events this summer. Due to an overlap with the NCAA season, many U.S. women's athletes in the U21 and U23 age groups are unable to attend the U23 Pan Am Cup.
The SMU duo is two of 13 athletes with prior National Team experience. Anyanwu is a three-time gold medalist for Team USA, winning Championships at the 2023 FIVB U19 World Championship, the 2024 U21 Continental Championship, and, most recently, the 2025 U21 Pan American Cup, where she was named 2nd Best Middle Blocker. Davis has been on the USA U19 National Team for the last three years and, most recently, won silver at the 2025 FIVB U19 World Championship, where she was named the Best Outside Hitter.
Twenty of the 27 athletes will train for the 2026 NORCECA Women's U21 Pan American Cup, and 14 of those 20 will be selected to compete. Seven will train alongside select U19 National Team athletes for the opportunity to compete at the 2026 NORCECA Women's U23 Pan American Cup.
Athletes training for the U21 Pan Am Cup will train June 26-July 5 in Columbus, Ohio, ahead of the competition set for July 7-12, also in Columbus.
