DALLAS (SMU) - SMU Volleyball head coach Sam Erger has announced the addition of Bojana Ambulija to the 2026 roster. A native of Trebinje, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ambulija comes to Dallas after playing internationally in Europe.

The 6-3 opposite will have four years of eligibility starting this coming fall.  

Ambulija began her international volleyball playing career at age 16, joining VakifBank (Turkey) and competing at the U18 level.  

She then began her club career in Hungary with Fatum Nyiregyhaza Roplabda, a top-tier club, where she helped lead her team to a third-place finish in the Hungarian Cup during the 2022–2023 season.

In the last two years, Ambulija has played for OK Nebo and, most recently, for OK Dinamo, both clubs in Croatia's top-level league. As a part of OK Dinamo, she competed in high-level European competitions, including the CEV Champions League qualifier, the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) Cup, and the MEVZA League.
