DALLAS (SMU) - SMU volleyball head coach Sam Erger has announced the signing of transfer setter Ellie Moore to the 2026 roster.
Moore, who spent the last two seasons at Kansas, will join the Mustangs with three years of eligibility.
The five-foot-nine Darien, Connecticut native, redshirted last season after appearing in 12 matches and 16 sets as a freshman in 2024, where she logged nine assists and six digs. She was named Big 12 Academic All-Rookie that season.
Moore played four years at Darien High School primarily as an outside hitter, where she was a four-year starter as well as a two-year team captain. She played club for Northeast Volleyball Club, where she was named to the 2022 and 2023 Junior Volleyball Association (JVA) Watch Lists and the 2022 AVCA Phenom List.
In her senior campaign at Darien, Moore helped lead the Blue Wave to a perfect 28-0 record to win the 2023 Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) State Championships
Moore's twin sister, Aubrey Moore, is a junior setter at Boston College.
The redshirt sophomore joins a Mustang 2026 transfer class consisting of three others: Suli Davis, Victoria Harris and Gabi Placide.
