Maddie Edwards is entering her first season as an Intern Athletic Trainer at SMU. Her primary responsibility is the healthcare of the football and equestrian student-athletes.
Prior to SMU, Maddie completed her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training at The University of Alabama. While in Tuscaloosa, she gained experience working with NCAA Division I SEC football, volleyball, cheer and dance, athlete rehabilitation center, and student recreation center. Additionally, she completed summer internships with Stanford University football, Ole Miss football, Elite 11 Quarterback Competition, and the San Francisco 49ers.
Maddie is certified as an athletic trainer through the Board of Certification. She is additionally CPR/AED certified from the American Heart Association. Maddie is originally from Los Gatos, California and currently resides in Dallas.
