Kale Igboh

Kale Igboh came to the Hilltop in January of 2018 as the associate director of human performance primarily working with the Mustang football program and incoming freshmen. In the summer of 2019, he was promoted to the Co-Director of Human Performance.

Igboh came to SMU following a stint at Baylor University. He served as the assistant director of Olympic sports for two seasons before being elevated to the associate director in August of 2017. During his time in Waco, he assisted with football activities and directed programs for Baylor baseball and women’s golf, while assisting with efforts for men’s and women’s track and field.

Prior to his time at Baylor, Igboh worked with baseball and women’s rowing as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at West Virginia. He also spent time as a graduate assistant strength coach at Texas A&M working with baseball.

Igboh spent a summer at Columbia Heights High School upon graduation from the University of Minnesota. As an undergrad, he interned with the strength and conditioning department, assisting with a variety of sports and working in the human and sports performance laboratory.

He holds strength and conditioning certifications from the CSCCa and NSCA.

Igboh graduated from Minnesota in 2012 with a degree in Kinesiology (exercise & health science) and went on to earn a Master of Science in Kinesiology (sports physiology) from Texas A&M in 2014.
