Junior(2015): Played and started in 10 games, all at free safety... Third on the team for the second straight year in total tackles with 53, two of them going for losses... Had an interception against Baylor that was returned for a team-high 32 yards... Recorded five passes defended and had a forced fumble at Houston.

Sophomore (2014): Played and started all 12 games, totaling 69 tackles (third on the team)... Had 11 tackles (nine solo) versus Texas A&M... Made 10 tackles (seven solo) against TCU... Had seven tackles (one for loss) and an interception at UCF... Had at least five tackles in eight games... Totaled four pass breakups on the season, and also recovered a fumble in SMU's win at Connecticut to end the season.

Freshman (2013): Played in the final six games... Finished his rookie campaign with four tackles, including two solo... Had his first career interception and his first tackle for loss against Connecticut.

Prep: A three-star ESPN.com and 247sports.com recruit and a two-star Rivals.com and Scout.com prospect... Posted three interceptions as a junior while limited with an ankle injury... Turned down offers from Cincinnati and others.

Personal: Underwent name change after 2015 season... Previously Darrion Richardson... Engaged to former SMU track and field standout sprinter Craishia Washington.
