Ricardo transferred from Marist University prior to July 2022 academic semester. He will begin the 2022-23 with three seasons to play.
2020-22 (Marist): In his sophomore season, he started 27 of 30 games played… averaged 13.6 points (ranked 1
st at Marist, ranked 10
th in the MAAC), 4.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists, shot 37.4% on 3FGs (ranked 6
th in the MAAC) and 70.9% on FTs, made 1.9 threes per game (ranked 8
th in the MAAC).
In his freshman year at Marist, he earned MAAC All-Rookie Team, 4-time MAAC Rookie of the Week. Appeared in all 21 games, with 17 starts. Led team in scoring (11.0 ppg). Scored in double figures 11 times. He had a career-high 22 points at Rider, Jan. 23.
Prep: Wright averaged 21.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.6 steals per game as a senior as he led The Villages to a 21-7 season, the district championship and state regional semifinals. Wright set a school record with a 40-point game in December of his senior season. Wright was selected to play in the Florida Athletic Coaches Association North vs. South Game as a senior, which consists of the state's top 24 seniors. He was named Class 4A Second Team All-State, and First Team All-Area by the
Daily Commercial.
