Sydney Stone is an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Her primary responsibility is the healthcare of the Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams. She started at SMU in 2022 as an Intern Athletic Trainer working with the Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving programs.
Prior to SMU, Sydney completed her Master of Athletic Training at Baylor University. Through her education, she gained experience working with NCAA division I Big 12 football, track and field, acrobatics and tumbling, and softball. Sydney also completed a summer internship with the University of Georgia football team and a fall internship with the University of North Carolina women’s soccer team. She received her Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science from the University of Oklahoma in 2020 where she was also an athlete on the women’s rowing team.
Sydney is a Corrective Exercise Specialist certified through NASM and is certified in CPR and AED through the American Red Cross. She is originally from Boulder, Colorado and currently resides in Dallas, Texas.
