SMU Athletics

Lauren O'Brien, Academic Counselor, received her B.A. in Anthropology and English from Tulane University in 2007. She came to SMU to pursue a Ph.D in Archaeology and has since earned her M.A. in Archaeology (2010). She has worked as an Associate Professor at Collin College. As a Graduate Assistant at the ALEC, she tutored SMU's student athletes for a number of years. Lauren comes to Texas via California and Louisiana; she enjoys being outside, attending athletic events, and traveling. At SMU, she works primarily with men's tennis, equestrian and rowing.
