Tevin Shears enters his first season with the SMU Women’s basketball program as Director of Creative Video and Recruiting Experience in 2025.
Prior to arriving on the Hilltop, Shears was the Kentucky women’s basketball director of creative content during the 2024-25 season. Shears oversaw multiple areas of content creation with the Wildcats creating content for recruiting and social media.
Shears arrived in Lexington after spending one season as the manager of creative content at Ole Miss in 2023-24. With the Rebels, he played a critical role in building a nationally recognized brand. He created content for recruiting and social media, which ranged from graphics, documentaries and creative video.
Before that, he was the lead content creator for the national champion UConn men’s basketball program in 2022-23. In Storrs, Shears produced content across the board from photo, video and graphic design.
Shears also spent time at Dorman High School managing the men’s basketball program’s social media, as the Cavaliers went on to win four straight 5A State Championships.
A Gaffney, South Carolina, native, Shears graduated from Limestone College in 2017.
