Walker McAlister joined the SMU women’s golf staff as Assistant Coach in September of 2025 after spending time working for the Northern Texas PGA.
McAlister spent two stints working with the Northern Texas PGA most recently in Championship Tournament Operations assisting in the planning and set up of professional golf tournaments including the Texas State Open, Texas Women’s Open and the Professionals Championship. He served in that position from May to August of 2025. He spent the previous summer also with the Northern Texas PGA as a Junior Tournament Operations Intern.
McAlister graduated from Ole Miss in May of 2025 with BBA in Marketing. While in college, McAlister was a Football Recruiting Specialist, working closely with the team to facilitate campus tours, presentation and meeting with coaches for new recruits.
Before college, McAlister worked for Providence Golf Club near his hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina.
