SMU Athletics

Georgia Tauer joined SMU as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in the summer of 2023. Her primary responsibility is the healthcare of the volleyball team.

Prior to joining SMU, Georgia was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Lamar University, where she worked with women’s soccer and men’s tennis.

While working at Lamar, Georgia received her master’s degree in nutrition. She received her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from The University of Alabama in 2021. During her time in Tuscaloosa, she gained experience working with NCAA Division I SEC women’s soccer, women’s crew, baseball, and football teams.

Georgia is originally from Denver, Colorado and currently resides in Dallas, Texas.
