Ashtyn Frye enters her first season on the Hilltop as Assistant Director of Basketball Operations.
In this role, Frye will help oversee travel, fan and community engagement, daily operations and the team of student managers.
Frye spent the previous four seasons as a student manager at Arizona under head coach Adia Barnes. Her duties included monitoring statistics, completing office work, recruiting visits, tournament travel, equipment, creating itineraries and schedules, creating a memorable fan experience and ensuring a smooth flow for practices and games.
Frye also served as team attendant for the Phoenix Mercury in 2024. She was responsible for assisting the Basketball Operations department pre-game, during the game, and post-game with a variety of duties. She also got valuable experience as a volunteer with the 2024 WNBA All-Star Weekend, led operations for Basketball Without Borders, and worked on the Team USA Bench at the WNBA All-Star Game.
Frye graduated from Arizona in the Spring of 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics and Entrepreneurship.
