Britney Doan is entering her fourth season with SMU Football, serving as the Assistant Director of Player Operations for Defense.
In her role, she oversees player operations and administrative support, managing player accounts, tickets, onboarding, family engagement, etc. She works closely with student-athletes throughout their collegiate careers, supporting academic planning, compliance processes, and overall program experience, while also assisting with recruiting initiatives.
Prior to her current position, Britney served as the Football Relations Graduate Assistant, working within Head Coach Operations to support player development, recruiting, staff and family engagement, community outreach, and travel logistics for coaches’ families during gameday and postseason experiences.
Britney began her career with the Mustangs in the spring of 2023 as a Recruiting Assistant. During her time in recruiting, she helped enhance SMU’s on-campus experience for prospective student-athletes by contributing to the planning and execution of official and unofficial visits, recruiting events, and gameday operations. She also supported recruiting travel logistics, camp operations, and collaborated with external partners to strengthen the program’s recruiting efforts.
Britney is an SMU alumna, having earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Southern Methodist University, and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Management from SMU’s Cox School of Business.
