Carson Morris enters his third season with the Mustangs in 2026, serving as the assistant quarterbacks coach.
In 2024-2025, Morris served as an offensive assistant, assisting with the quarterbacks. Morris aided the development of the Mustangs’ elite passing offense and their conference-leading red-zone offense, ranking 12th and 19th in FBS, respectively.
Quarterback Kevin Jennings had a dynamic season in 2025, logging 3,641 passing yards, good for seventh in the nation and third in program history. An All-ACC Honorable Mention, Jennings led the Mustangs to their first top-10 victory since 1983 over No.10 Miami, a 9-4 record and a Trust & Will Holiday Bowl victory against No. 17 Arizona.
He was previously the quarterbacks coach at Butler Junior College in Kansas.

Morris began his coaching journey at the University of Mississippi as a video student in 2020. He was a graduate assistant in 2023 before becoming one of the youngest position coaches in Division 1 football at Morehead State as the tight ends coach.

Morris earned his bachelor’s degree in business marketing from Ole Miss (2022) and his Master's in sports and business administration (2023).
He also played quarterback at Frisco Liberty from 2017-18.Â
