Ethan Houser joined SMU’s football staff in January 2025 as a Player Personnel Specialist and was promoted five months later to his current role as a Player Personnel Graduate Assistant.
His responsibilities include evaluating high school and transfer portal prospects, maintaining the recruiting pipeline and database, and assisting with the execution of all recruiting events and visits.
Prior to his time at SMU, Houser worked in the player personnel department at Baylor from 2021 to 2022. While there, he contributed to prospect evaluation, database management, and the coordination of on-campus recruiting events.
Following his time at Baylor, Houser spent nearly two years as a Senior Financial Analyst at AT&T, where he was responsible for managing material expenses across national operations.
A native of Boerne, Texas, Houser earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Management from Baylor University in 2023.
He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Management from the Cox School of Business at SMU.
