Jalen Ivy enters his first season on the Hilltop in 2026, serving as assistant defensive line coach.
Before joining the Mustangs, Ivy spent the 2025 season coaching the defensive line at Grambling State. While under Ivy’s leadership, the Tigers led the Southwestern Athletic Conference in fourth-down conversion percentage defense (0.364) and in team sacks with 33. The marks are good for seventh and 14th in FCS, respectively.
Prior to his coaching career, the Louisiana native spent six seasons with the Southern University Jaguars as a defensive end. Throughout his collegiate career, Ivy totaled 68 tackles (32 solo), including 16 TFLs and 9.5 sacks.
